Our Story
Soma Craft Cidery
We believe that making great cider is a craft worth preserving and we love the challenge of making the purest, most natural and best tasting cider we can. Even more, we love sharing what we’ve made with friends. That’s about it.
Pure. Simple. Honest. We think cider brings people together. We are passionate about our craft and about the connections people make while enjoying what we have produced. We believe that our passion for making great cider translates to the glass and trust that a shared table with cider on it is the perfect setting for friends to gather.
SOMA is a family owned farm based cidery in British Columbia’s central Okanagan valley. The area has a rich agricultural history and we’re proud to be part of it. The land our farm is on was originally cleared by a team of horses but the years passed and the land fell into disuse and lay fallow. Tilled and planted in 2016 and first harvested in 2018, the land was reclaimed and the work of producing our hard apple cider began.
Like any venture, there have been head winds but we are thankful for the friendships we’ve made by taking this on and we appreciate all the people that tell us how much they love what we’ve produced. We wouldn’t change a thing and look forward to the challenges, harvests, growth and new friends that lie ahead.
If you’re ever out our way, come on up and raise a glass with us.
